Nigerian Women Promises Showdown If Mercy Johnson's Wedding Comes On

In the last few weeks, nothing has dominated discussions in the entertainment industry like the wedding plans of controversial screen diva, Mercy Johnson.

A few months ago, the news of her wedding to a Benin prince broke and since then, newshounds as well as paparazzi have virtually followed her everywhere, keeping tabs on the wedding which held so much promise.

But barely two weeks to the wedding, the entire hype seemed to be a farce, after an allegation of husband snatching was leveled against Mercy by Okojie’s wife, Lovely.

A few days back,we broke the news that Mercy has finally called off her planned wedding to Odianosen Okojie,.but it seems many people were still skeptical of the authenticity of the report.

We learnt that a woman group, Society for Nigerian Women has written to Christ Embassy that if the Church goes ahead with the wedding despite all the evidences and petitions of Lovely against the wedding that they would mobilize Nigerian women to demonstrate and disrupt the wedding proceedings.

The letter addressed directly to Pastor Chris Oyakilome dated August 15th signed by Mrs. Chinyere Okonkwo President of the group indicated that after the meeting of the group on August 13th,they’ve decided to react to publications that were reporting that Pastor Chris lead church has finally agreed to go ahead with the wedding,it described the decisions as wicked and highly immoral that a man will leave his legally married wife and go ahead to marry another woman and a respectable church were ready to join them together.

The letter begged Pastor Chris to rescind the decisions in the interest of the innocent children that Odi had abandoned or risk 5,000 women demonstrating in front of the Church on the day of the wedding.

Bishop Obinim's Saga: Kweku Bonsam Should Come And Face Me - Sheikh Nacambo Osman

An Accra-based Muslim leader-cum spiritualist, Sheikh Nacambo Osman, has jumped to the rescue of the Don Juan Christian leader Bishop Daniel Obinim.

It is not yet known what relationship Obinim has with Sheikh Nacambo but the fact that Bonsam has agreed to challenge the Christian leader at the upcoming spiritual competition has angered the Sheikh. Sheikh Nacambo has therefore taken the fight to the doorsteps of Bonsam. He has asked Bonsam to face him instead of Obinim.

According to Sheikh Nacambo, Bonsam had no moral right to refer to Obinim as a ‘false man of God.’ He said Bonsam was not a Man of God so he had no business reacting to Obinim’s declaration calling for true men of God for a contest.

“If Bonsam claims he is powerful, he should try Tamale. I bet you he would not return in full piece. They will bring his corpse back to Accra. He should not forget that all power belongs to God. “God hates the proud but promotes the humble. Like Obinim, Bonsam started boasting that he is so powerful.

He claims he has helped many pastors, yet he has failed to mention any.” Sheikh Nacambo appealed to pastors and Imams in the country to join forces in prayer to restore the sick little girl. He admonished spiritual heads in the country not to rejoice over what had befallen Obinim, rather they should remember him in prayer, saying, “What happened to Obinim could happen to any man of God.”

But Bonsam has explained that it was wrong for Obinim to have bragged on radio that he, a Christian leader, had used his Christian powers to invoke the spirit of lunacy and paralysis on the innocent child of a married woman he committed adultery with. “Obinim thinks no one can cure that child except himself and I want to prove that he is a liar.

There are several people who can cure that child and I am one of such people.

If he really believes he is a Man of God, he should come forward and stop running away from the challenge he himself called for. “I would cure the child and transfer the paralysis to Obinim just to show that he is not a Man of God. He is a wicked leader who has not repented of his sins,” Bonsam added.

Meanwhile, Bishop Obinim, after bragging that he could challenge any man of God in a spiritual duel of miracles, has apparently fled after Bonsam publicly accepted the challenge.

Weeks after Bonsam accepted the challenge from the bishop and dared him to suggest a venue and date, Obinim has remained silent on the matter, leaving the fetish priest to make mockery of him.

“You see…he can’t talk anymore. If he cannot face me, a fetish priest, how can he face the true pastors of the God of Heaven…I would have turned him into a cripple just like he did to the boy…as for the mental illness, I would have mercy on him because he is already behaving like a mad man,” Bonsam added

Leave My Husband Alone – Bishop Obinim’s Wife

Popular gospel musician, Florence Obinim has thrown her full weight behind her husband, Bishop Daniel Obinim, asking those who are castigating the bishop over his alleged sexual affair to leave him alone to do his pastoral work.

Breaking her silence on his husband’s alleged sexual affair with a pastor’s wife since the story broke last week, the popular musician who has three children with the bishop said it takes a man of God like her husband to admit his sins and openly confess them. “It is an honour for me as his wife that he has confessed his sin five years after he committed it. “I’m therefore solidly behind him and I know he will overcome the aftershocks,” she said in an interview after church service at the International God’s Way Church headquarters at Kenyasi near Kumasi last Sunday.

Over the weekend it was rumoured in Kumasi that Mrs. Obinim had left her matrimonial home as a result of the allegations against her husband who is the General Overseer of the International God’s Way Church. But when the Graphic Showbiz asked her about the state of her marriage in the presence of her husband, Mrs. Obinim said the recent developments had even strengthened their marriage. “I’ll say Halleluia, Halleluia, Halleluia”, she said, imitating her husband during his television programmes. She said for publicly confessing his sins after five years, Bishop Obinim had proved to be a real man of God. “How many pastors can do what my husband has done?” She questioned pointing out that people should praise him rather than condemn him.

Mrs. Obinim said she and the husband swore during their marriage that only death could separate them and she sticks to that oath. Earlier at the church service, the celebrated gospel musician had electrified the atmosphere with her soul-inspiring songs firing up the huge congregation to shout “No Shaking, No Shaking” in support of Bishop Obinim.

Mrs. Obinim would not speak about the court case involving the husband because the matter was before the court. Bishop Obinim who also spoke said he stood by the apology he made to his wife, parents, his church and indeed the entire nation over the sexual affair with the wife of a junior pastor of his church as well as his storming of the studios of Accra based radio station Hot FM to protest “insults on me”.

He however maintained that the woman in question was not married to the pastor at the time of the sexual act as being alleged. He praised his wife for giving him all the necessary encouragement saying “this and other support from my church and well wishers have encouraged me to work extra harder for the Lord.”

He said that no one is perfect in this world and questioned “how many people including pastors will be bold to confess as I have done?” he said having learnt his lessons he would never again physically confront any journalist if the person makes even the dirtiest of allegation against him.

Kantamanto Marketers Destroy Bishop Obinim’s CDs

Bishop Daniel Obinim whose issue has received lots of criticism and condemnation in the media and the general public for allegedly sleeping with his pastor’s wife and beating a radio presenter at Hot FM has taken a different turn.

Video CDs produced by the pastor have been destroyed and thrown away by marketers and distributors in Kantamanto. Information gathered by the Flex newspaper has it that the Miraculous video CDs and audio testimonies of Bishop Obinim’s healing crusades and programmes were destroyed and thrown away by Kantamanto marketers.

According to our informant, they claim that Bishop Obinim’s cup is full and that he has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that he is not of God so they won’t waste their time selling his supposed fake miracle programs to the public.

They believe doing that will stop people from patronizing this works. According to the report, there were lots of women who wept as a result of the act by the marketers who destroyed the CDs. The women claim they have known Obinim for a very long time so believe what is happening to him is the devils temptation. When the Flex newspaper approached some of the CD sellers to ask their reason behind their action, they revealed that they don’t want t become agents of any bad precedence.

Bonsam Face Obinim. With Kofi-Kofi

Dreaded fetish priest Kwaku Bonsam has given a three-week ultimatum after which he would call the bluff of Bishop Daniel Obinim and challenge the latter in a spiritual contest of miracles right in his church auditorium.

Speaking in Twi, Bonsam told NEWS-ONE that “Obinim says he is a Man of God simply because he can perform miracles with the name of Jesus and that anyone who thinks he is not a true Man of God should face him.

“I have accepted his challenge publicly but he is afraid and has decided to keep quite so I would wait for three weeks and then go straight to his church with just five of my smaller gods and ‘Kofi-Kofi’ just to prove that not all miracles are from the God of Heaven.”

Daniel Obinim, the leader of the International God’s Way Church, who confessed that he was bonking the wife of a junior pastor of his church, seems not to have disentangled himself from his troubles.
Bonsam explained that it was wrong for Obinim to have bragged on radio that he, a Christian leader, had used his Christian powers to invoke the spirit of lunacy and paralysis on the innocent child of the married woman he committed adultery with.

FLORENCE OBINIM WEEPS
Meanwhile, Obinim has stated publicly that his dear wife, award-winning gospel singer, Florence Obinim, with their children, has locked herself up in a room, weeping as “orphans” over the issue.
Obinim said the fact that his wife and children are weeping in agony makes him very sad and distressed.

When news first broke that Obinim had bonked the wife of a junior pastor of his church, Florence Obinim was quick to wade into the controversy accusing the other woman of blackmail.

According to Florence, Obinim only slept with the woman once and that it was about five years ago.
However, new revelations show that Bishop Obinim had an extramarital affair with the woman before she got married to the junior pastor and continued even after she got married and when she was pregnant.

Obinim Court Date
On August 30, Obinim will appear in court after he was bailed in a case in which he is being tried for invading the offices of Hot FM armed with a crowbar with which he assaulted staff members and vandalized property.

Pastor rapes five sisters

The Head Pastor of African Faith Tabernacle, Rev. Paul Nkansah, has been arrested for allegedly raping five sisters at Akyem Akiase in the Eastern Region.

Rev. Nkansah, who was alleged to have confessed to having affair with the five sisters, said he committed the crime on the orders of some celestial powers.

The sexual escapade of the pastor came to light when a sister of the victims, Afia Baby, fell ill and was sent to the pastor at Akyem Akiase for spiritual healing, but died in the process.

Not satisfied with circumstances leading to the death of Afia Baby, her relatives consulted an oracle, which revealed that Pastor Nkansah could not cure the girl because he had committed an abomination by allegedly raping five sisters and invoking curses on a sixth person, Madam Elizabeth Abadanakia, who is a relative of the deceased.

On the basis of the revelation by the oracle, the mother of the victims confronted her daughters, who confessed that the pastor had raped them.

The mother, apparently terrified by the incident, reported the case to the Krontihene and regent of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, Oberempong Saforo Gyamfi Kyereh, who convened a meeting of chiefs to listen to the complaint on Tuesday, August 16, 201l.

At that meeting, which was attended by Pastor Nkansah and some of his church members, one of the victims (name withheld) narrated the circumstances under which Pastor Nkansah raped her.

According to her, she visited her sister who was receiving treatment at Pastor Nkansah’s prayer camp at Akiase.

She said during the visit, Pastor Nkansah claimed that the spirit had revealed to him that she was being tormented by evil spirits and, therefore, needed deliverance.

Pastor Nkansah was said to have told the woman to bring a piece of cloth and also demanded GH¢1,200 and advised her to add the cloth to the money, put them under her pillow and sleep on them for one week before submitting them to him.

The woman alleged that when she sent the items to the pastor, he told her to wait until midnight when the ritual could be performed to neutralise the evil forces tormenting her.

She said at midnight, the pastor poured water and oil into a bucket and sent her to a bush on a hill and instructed her to strip naked and bath.

She said on their return to the prayer camp, Pastor Nkansah invited her to his bedroom where he smeared her body with anointing oil before telling her that he had been instructed by the ‘Holy Spirit’ to have sex with her, which was necessary for her deliverance, a request which she resisted.

The victim said Pastor Nkansah dipped his hands into a glass and took some powder and sprinkled it on her face and body.

She said she became unconscious and when she regained consciousness, she realised that she had been raped by Pastor Nkansah, who warned her not to reveal her ordeal to anybody, otherwise she would die prematurely.

The other four victims, including a 15-year-old junior high school (JHS) student, also revealed how they were allegedly raped by the pastor, using the same tricks.

After admitting his guilt of committing incest and casting a spell on the family of the victims, Pastor Nkansah was fined a ram and two bottles of schnapps by Oberempong Saforo Gyamfi Kyereh.

The Krontihene then handed the pastor over to plain-clothes policemen who whisked him away to the Oda District Police Headquarters, where he was placed in custody to assist in investigations.
